The Master of Science in Actuarial Science (MSc)

The Master of Science in Actuarial Science (MSc) is a postgraduate Actuarial Science course. Actuarial Science has its roots in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, and Finance. To name a few, it has applications in life insurance, general insurance, health insurance, reinsurance, and retirement benefit valuation. Gratuity, pension, asset valuation, pricing of securities and derivatives, risk valuation, risk management, and so on.
An actuary is a financial problem solver with specialized mathematical, analytical, and business skills. Actuaries use mathematical and statistical skills to analyze past events, estimate current risks, and forecast the future. The Actuarial Science programme is two years long and divided into four semesters. The Master of Science in Actuarial Science programme is crucial since it offers up several job opportunities for those who complete it.
