OBJECTIVE AND DESCRIPTION

The course of MA in Consciousness is an opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge and expertise in the field of Meditation and Yoga as explained by His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. It covers areas of study including - Transcendental Meditation, Maharishi Vedic Science, Yoga asana. The study approach is very different from the usual pattern which is limited to classrooms.  The course is filled with practical workshops to enrich the knowledge gained in classrooms with direct experience and opportunities to work on real-time projects to integrate the knowledge.

Maharishi’s Transcendental Meditation is a simple, natural, effortless and scientifically verified technique of accessing the deeper states of mental awareness. It calms the restless mind and provides deep rest to the body, resulting in removal of stress, rejuvenation, improvement in mental and physical health, bliss and positivity, is an ancient, non-religious technique of releasing stress and reaching one’s fullest potential, which was first taught by His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in 1958.

Creative Intelligence is the source of all knowledge. Knowledge is for action, action for achievement, and achievement for fulfillment. Thus, knowledge is directly concerned with fulfillment. For complete fulfillment, complete knowledge is necessary. Complete knowledge should mean total knowledge of the object of inquiry and total knowledge of the subject; total knowledge of both the known and the knower. When the knower does not know himself, then the basis of knowledge is missing. The Science of Creative Intelligence, by opening one’s awareness to the infinite, unbounded value of intelligence, broadens the awareness and makes it permanently unbounded, so that no area of life remains foreign. This is the ground of complete knowledge and therefore, is the basis of complete fulfillment.

The MA in Consciousness, course is being designed in such a manner that, it includes a residential course, for in-depth knowledge. Upon successful completion of the course, the students will automatically become affiliated to the authorized National organization, teaching TM and Yoga across the country and the related job prospects become available to them.

Eligibility Criteria

For MA in Consciousness: Candidates must have passed Graduation (With 3 Years) any stream from any recognized and UGC listed University or AICTE recognized Institute/College.

Admission to MA in Consciousness in based on clearing a written exam, up to 3 rounds of interview and signing of the agreement.

The right to admission to this course is solely reserved with Maharishi University of Information Technology.
