Maharishi University of Information Technology 

On April 22, 2024, a one-day workshop on the “Internet of Things (IoT) Boot Camp” was organized by the School of Engineering and Technology at Maharishi University Noida Campus, and 30 students received hands-on experience that allowed them to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios.

 The workshop on IoT Boot Camp aimed at providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of Internet of Things (IoT) technology. The workshop covered fundamental concepts, practical experimentation with Arduino and nodeMCU, and the utilization of various sensors to explore real-world applications of IoT.

 Workshop Highlights:

Speakers: The workshop was led by Dr. Vijayalakshmi S., Associate Professor, and Mr. Bjiesh Thomas, Assistant Professor at Christ University, Lavasa. Their expertise in the field ensured an enriching learning experience for all participants.

Program Content: The workshop curriculum encompassed the basics necessary for exploration in IoT, including an introduction to Arduino and its Integrated Development Environment (IDE). Participants gained hands-on experience with a range of sensors, such as temperature and humidity sensors, LDR, touch sensors, and flame sensors.

 Experimental Trails: Through experimental trails using Thinkercard and Wokwi simulators, participants were able to simulate IoT environments and understand the practical applications of sensor data in various scenarios. 

Additionally, nodeMCU experiments provided insights into the integration of IoT devices with the internet.

Participants gained a solid foundation in IoT technology, enabling them to conceptualize, design, and implement IoT solutions effectively. The workshop fostered a collaborative learning environment, encouraging participants to explore innovative approaches to problem-solving in IoT applications.

The IoT Boot Camp provided invaluable insights into the world of the Internet of Things. The practical experiments enhanced the understanding of sensor integration and data analysis.
