On February 5, 2023, Maharishi University of Information Technology organised the  Punyatithi of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi ji to honour His life and legacy. The event was attended by Prof. (Group Captain) OP Sharma (Hon’ble Director General), Hon’ble Vice Chancellor (Prof. Bhanu Pratap Singh), Dr. Sapan Asthana (Dean-Academics, Lucknow campus), Dr. Trapty Agarwal, (Dean Academics- Noida campus), Dy. Dean Academics, Deans of all Schools, HR-Head (Mr. Sunil Kumar Mishra), faculty and staff members at their respective campuses. The event included traditional puja ceremony and video of Maharishi Ji’s teaching.  The key points of the video were summarised by Dr. Mudita Agarwal (Dean, SoC). All the dignitaries and other staff members paid their tribute by offering flowers after Puja as a mark of respect and to seek the blessings of Maharishi ji. During the event, the dignitaries- 
Prof. (Group Captain) OP Sharma, Prof. Bhanu Pratap Singh and Dr. Sapan Asthana addressed the audience at the respective campuses and enlightened them about the life and teachings of Maharishi ji and their significance in fulfilling life’s purpose. It was followed by group meditation. The vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Gaurav Thakur (Noida campus) and Mr. Samir Tripathy (Lucknow campus), followed by the distribution of ‘prasad’ at both campuses. The program was well conducted by Meditation Teachers- Shri Samir Tripathy and Smt. Sandhya Rani Tripathy. The program was attended by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor (Prof. Bhanu Pratap Singh), Dr. Sapan Asthana (Dean-Academics, Lucknow campus), Dy. Dean Academics (Dr. Vijay Srivastava), Deans and faculty members of all schools, and staff members.
