Maharishi School of Media

Photography tells a story, it captures a moment in time, it is a document, and it is an art.

The Maharishi School of Media organized a two-day Photo-Art Exhibition, ‘Light and Shadow’ on February 15-16, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., in the MSM Seminar Hall. It was extended for one more day, February 17, 2023. A photography exhibition is the best place to reach out to viewers and interact with them. Several artists convey their message to the viewers through the exhibition. The photography exhibition is a key step for a photographer in establishing himself or herself as a professional. Everyone on the Noida campus participated for free by filling out a Google-generated form. There were more than 90 entries, out of which 25 photographs were selected to be exhibited. The exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. Sunil Mishra, Head-HR, on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. All the deans of all the schools were present for the inauguration. On the first day, nearly all the teaching and non-teaching staff of MUIT, Noida Campus, visited the exhibition. Students from different schools also visited the exhibition.

On the second day, Thursday, February 16, 2023, Mrs. Aditi Shrivastava, Advisor, SOC, Dr. Mudita Agarwal, Dean, SOC, and Mr. Gauarav Thakur, Assistant Professor, SOC, judged the photographs, and the two winners declared were Akash Jha from the Maharishi School of Media and Nikhil from the School of Data Science. Ms. Aditi Shrivastava presented Akash Jha with a cash prize of Rs. 1000.

MUIT

Prof. (Group Captain) O.P. Sharma, Director General, MUIT, visited the exhibition on the third and last day. He was impressed by the creativity displayed. He showered his blessings. Nikhil, the second winner, was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 1000 by the honorable DG.

The exhibition was attended by all teaching and non-teaching staff members, as well as students from all schools on the MUIT, Noida Campus. All the faculty members of MSM, including Ms. Ritu Prashar, HOD; Dr. S.S. Gupta, Ms. Bhavni Singh, Mr. Shivam Yadav, Mr. Sunil Kumar Yadav, Mr. Mohan Singh, and Mr. Arvind Singh, were actively involved in the exhibition on all the days. Students of MSM actively participated in the photo display and volunteered for coordination work. The footfall in the exhibition was overwhelming, and the visitors’ book has been filled with motivating comments and praises. The event showcased the creative works of the students in the form of art and photography, ranging from traditional paintings to digital art, and the photography showcased the beauty of creativity.
