The School of Science and Humanities at Maharishi University, Noida, successfully hosted the 'Celebrating Women: Inspire Inclusion' symposium on 7th March 2024, in honour of International Women's Day. The event, held at the university's auditorium, focused on the theme 'Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress,' aiming to recognize and celebrate the achievements of women while inspiring attendees with their stories and ideas.
The symposium featured distinguished speakers, including Ms. Suniti – IPS, DCP Police Commissionerate, Gautam B. Nagar, Ms. Anita Srivastava - Senior DGM (Quality Services) Bharat Electronics Limited, Ghaziabad and Ms. Chaitali Kumar - General Manager, Ericsson India, Noida, who shared their experiences and insights, encouraging the audience to strive for excellence and contribute to societal progress.
The event began with a warm welcome by Dr. Sukhman Randhawa, followed by a Guru Puja and Saraswati Vandana. Prof. (Dr.) Archana Pandey, Dean of the School of Science and Humanities, delivered the welcome address, setting the tone for the day's discussions.
The guests of honour were felicitated, and each delivered words of inspiration, highlighting the importance of empowering women in achieving societal advancement. A cultural dance performance representing eight states added a colourful and vibrant touch to the event, showcasing the rich diversity of Indian culture.
An open forum provided attendees with the opportunity to share their thoughts and ideas, further enriching the dialogue on women's empowerment. The symposium concluded with words of wisdom from DG Sir and a heartfelt vote of thanks by Dr Sukhman Randhawa.
Overall, the 'Celebrating Women: Inspire Inclusion' symposium was a resounding success, inspiring all attendees to empower, educate, and support women in creating a more inclusive and equal society.
