Objective of the Visit: The purpose of the visit was to provide students with first-hand exposure to innovation and entrepreneurship and to explore the role of the Incubation Centre in fostering start-up culture.

Participating Students: A total of 43 students from B.com and BBA were the primary participants of the event.

The Maharishi School of Business Management, Noida, in collaboration with Maharishi Industry Relation Cell, Noida organized a visit to NSIC – National Small Industries Corporation, Okhla, New Delhi, on March 15, 2024 (Friday).

The NSIC Incubation Centre serves as a nurturing ground for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups by providing them with infrastructure, mentoring, training, and access to resources necessary for their growth and development. The centre offered a conducive environment for innovation and entrepreneurship. It was equipped with modern facilities and resources which provides a range of support services to help start-ups navigate the challenges of entrepreneurship.

During the visit, students were given a comprehensive tour of the Incubation Centre's facilities, which included:

  • Demonstration of various machine shops, assembly line, quality control and maintenance sections.
  • Demonstration of the latest technologies and automation systems employed by the company to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Co-working spaces equipped with modern amenities for collaborative work and brainstorming sessions.
  • Access to mentorship and guidance from experienced entrepreneurs and industry experts.
  • Opportunities for funding and investment through the Centre's network of investors and financial institutions.

Furthermore, students had the opportunity to interact with industry professionals, including engineers and technicians, who shared their experiences and career insights. This interaction helped students gain valuable perspectives on the practical aspects of working in the industry and potential career pathways.

Students found the industrial visit to be a rewarding experience that helped them connect the dots between their academic understanding and practical applications. It gave students insightful exposure to industrial equipment, processes, and technologies, which improved their comprehension and appreciation of the complexity of contemporary manufacturing. Snack boxes were distributed to the students at the end.

Overall, the visit to the NSIC Incubation Centre was enlightening and inspiring, underscoring the importance of such initiatives in fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic development.
