“The Festival of Manufacturing- 10 Years of Make in India”

Objective of the Event: To enlighten students about the success and journey of “Make In India” initiative, showcase the remarkable progress made in the last decade, highlight success stories, and chart the way forward for India's manufacturing sector.

Participating Students: 43 B.Com students along with 7 faculty members including Dean of SOBM, were the primary attendees of the event.

The Maharishi School of Business Management, Noida, in collaboration with Twashta Business Solutions Pvt. Ltd.’s SkillsRediscovery.com organized a visit to "The Festival of Manufacturing" on March 7, 2024 (Thursday) at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi.

This one day event was a grand gathering of the best and brightest minds of the fraternity who celebrated India’s vibrant manufacturing sector while enabling meaningful discussions and deliberations to step up India’s game on a global level. The event showcased a diverse array of innovations and achievements in the manufacturing sector, highlighting the country's progress over the past decade. Through engaging workshops, exhibitions, and interactive sessions, they gained insights into the transformative journey of Indian manufacturing, reflecting its achievements, challenges, and future prospects.

Over the years, India's manufacturing industry has been able to lead the way in innovation and is currently the most sought-after location for overseas manufacturing investments. Furthermore, the "Make in India" and "Make for India" initiatives introduced by Hon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi have allowed Indian manufacturing to receive much-deserved international prominence. The Times Group's Festival of industrial brought together industrial facilities from all over India to honour, commemorate, and monumentalize the country's manufacturing industry. To highlight India's burgeoning manufacturing sector, the event gathered together associations, financial, R&D, and educational organizations alongside conglomerates and MSMEs and start-ups.

The session gave students an opportunity to interact with dignitaries and the Q&A session allowed students to enhance the understanding of India’s manufacturing sector and promote idea sharing among all the attendees. Students got insights about the government schemes and incentives designed to boost the manufacturing sector. Following the event, Mr Gursaurabh Singh (Shark Tank Pitcher) inspired students and gave students ideas to launch new start-ups.

Overall, the visit to the festival left students inspired and enlightened, sparking their curiosity and interest in contributing to India's manufacturing landscape in the future.
